Oracle Retail Item Planning Business Essentials

Participants in this course learn to use the Item Planning solution to step through a sample workflow that represents the tasks that an Item Planner would complete as a part of their planning efforts. Each step in the workflow is addressed individually as it relates to the use of the Item Planning tool.The course begins with an in-depth discussion about the Pre-Season workflow including user roles, types of worksheets and workbooks available for planning and which workbooks are used to accomplish specific planning tasks. It then explores the In-Season planning process without the aid of markdowns made by the Clearance Optimization Engine. This portion of the course addressed the types of plans that must be created In-Season as well as the workbooks used to create them. Finally the course explores In-Season planning with the aid of the Clearance Optimization Engine and the workflow that is involved in planning using this feature. The specific types of plans and workbooks are addressed as well as the interaction between COE and Item Planning.Learn To:Explain the relationship between the Item Planning and Merchandise Financial Planning solution.Describe Clearance Price OptimizationExplain the relationship between Item Planning and Clearance Price Optimization.Describe where Item Planning fits into the Oracle Retail Footprint.Use the various worksheets available in the Item Planning solution to create item plans.A Live Virtual Class (LVC) is exclusively for registered students; unregistered individuals may not view an LVC at any time.
