Sun Microsystem′s Logical Domains (LDoms) technology is part of a suite of methodologies for consolidation and resource management that includes Sun Fire Dynamic System Domains and Solaris OS Containers. This technology allows you to allocate a system′s various resources, such as memory, CPUs, and devices, into logical groupings to create multiple, discrete systems. Each of these systems will have its own operating system, resources, and identity. The emphasis of this course is on providing practical LDom planning, configuration, and administration experience, while also covering the underlying technologies and best practices. This course features the Solaris 10 OS, and LDom management software. The students perform the course lab exercises using LDoms supported servers.Students who can benefit from this course:System Administrators, IT architects, and other individuals tasked with planning server consolidation, configuring logical domains, or administering virtualized OS environments A Live Virtual Class (LVC) is exclusively for registered students; unregistered individuals may not view an LVC at any time. Registered students must view the class from the country listed in the registration form. Unauthorized recording, copying, or transmission of LVC content may not be made.
